Gladiator:
A Display Typeface

Designed during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Gladiator Display seeks to unify order and chaos to form this typeface. Gladiator Display was geometrically constructed using a set of simple shapes, when assembled, creates each character like a jigsaw puzzle (a common time pass during the pandemic).
 

This typeface tries to break from the conventional idea that a font needs to be legible, instead; the boredom induced font creates beautiful counter- forms that are calming when compared to its spiky exterior form. The characters merge together  to form graphical elements rather than words and phrases.
